* The word "Go" is derived from the full Japanese name igo, which is derived from its Chinese name "weiqi", which roughly translates as "board game of surrounding" or "encircling game". Its another name, the Korean word Baduk, derives from the Middle Korean word Badok, the origin is the joining of "Bat", meaning "field", and "Dok", meaning "stone".
Go is an abstract strategy board game for two players, playing black and white "stones", in which the aim is to surround more territory with than the opponent.
As the game progresses, the players position stones on the board to map out formations and potential territories. Contests between opposing formations are often extremely complex and may result in the expansion, reduction, or wholesale capture and loss of territories and stones.
Go is popular not only among professional players, but also inside international business community.
The naming of our concert project plays around words "Go" and Russian word "god" (year – in the meaning the seasons of the year)..
